It has been a while since I’ve blogged but I wanted to give you a round up of summer weddings so far, can you believe its August next week? I’ll start with one of my favourites because it includes coral charm peonies….

We’ve certainly done a lot of classic white bridal bouquets this year which is always a elegant and timeless option but for a summer colour palette I don’t think you can go too far wrong with blue, yellow and white. The soft delphinium blue is a perfect summery mood, however you can just throw all the summer colours together you can think of and below is the effect. (click on the link and you’ll be able to see the bride carrying her summer bouquet) 🙂

When planning your bridal flowers, remember that its much more than just a bunch of flowers. Its a reflection of your style and feel of your wedding day. Scent can be a big part of creating that style, the classic look we created for Jade who got married at Grittleton House was filled with ivory sweet-peas, flowering jasmine and stocks, hopefully thats a glorious lasting memory. 🙂
The one below is Jades we added in herbs too, we love using things like mint, rosemary and sage. I think some of these herbs have quite comforting scents.

I realise that all these bouquets are more upright and handtie in style but shape is an important thing to consider. Do click here and check out the final bouquet, its another peony bouquet but this time trailing in shape, a cascade or shower bouquet can be more dramatic in style, a point worth considering is that its a good idea to practice carrying this style.
