Spring wedding joy

You know when a moment of joy comes and you realise how thankful you are to run your own business. Well this wedding gave me that moment, especially when I saw the pictures from the wedding day by Nataliia Palkovska as you can see below. 🙂

The couple chose the colours and we worked with them to create this spring wedding, Liz the Bride carried a bouquet of peach ranunculus, narsissus, mimosa(which smelt amazing) ivory wax flower, some yummy peach spray rose and then some delicate blue oxypetalum, with echinecia heads for more texture than you can shake a stick at.

This shot of the bouquet above I took just before we left the workshop, Liz wanted quite a compact style bouquet as her dress was very elegant and fitted so it didn’t need anything flouncy. I therefore attempted to cram as much colour and texture into as possible! 🙂

The couple got married at the Botanical gardens in Bath and we had the fun of creating two pieces that could sit either side of the archway and then be transferred to the pub where they had their reception. I always think its worth getting as much use out of your wedding flowers as possible.

For the buttonholes we created very cute style florals for the gentlemen and their suits. We arranged the ranunculus with wax flower and a head of narcissi and a small amount of eucalyptus to finish it off, the Groom had an added dash of colour with some mimosa and blue oxypetalum flower head.

As always hope you have liked reading and looking at photos and enjoy the spring feeling in the air as it seems to edge closer each day.

Grace & Arthur the shop dog.
