Making a luxury flower-crown

Wedding flowers, Wiltshire

Making flower-crowns has been a big part of Young Blooms Summer, I’ve had over 15 groups of women through our workshop doors creating crowns. On the most part I’ve been able to source all the flowers from our flower garden which has been wonderful and you can see some of their efforts on our blog.

In planning workshops for the 2019, I wanted to create something special, something that is a complete treat. Through the summer months a lot of the weddings I’ve worked on have included lovely garden roses and for this coming workshop I wanted to be able to include these beauties. You can kind of see below on the crown, there is a couple of peach flowers at the top of the crown and these are Juliet Roses and are absolutely exquisite.

Loved making this crown using Juliet roses

I’ve been gathering inspiration on Pinterest for crowns and you can see it here,This crown above was created for a photoshoot at Bishopstrow House hotel

Photoshoots are always fun cause you can go oversize on the flowers, below was another example of over-sizing the flowers. Giving yourself time to be creative is a lovely thing, I find when I have moments like this then I can go slightly more over the top, enjoy creating something that’s slightly out of the ordinary.

The day will include prosecco on arrival, you’ll get a lesson on making your crown using a selection of Garden roses and other gorgeous spring blooms and there will be a delicious selection of cakes supplied by the wonderful cake maker Sandra Monger.

So why not come, bring a friend or maybe your Mum. Come enjoy flowers, cake and some sparkly pop. You can book your tickets here.
