Gathering together with a group of local wedding vendors was a fantastic experience. I’ve worked with Jackie from Fox and Beau Photography on a number of occasions and love her work. We had a brain-storm session back in the summer and talked about creating this shoot, with the aim of celebrating Critchill Manor as an outdoor wedding space. We also wanted to allow space for individual vendors to celebrate their style and enjoy the whole day.
Beth (in that fabulous yellow jacket above) is a humanist celebrant and I love the description on her instagram page that ‘this one life we have is wonderful and it should be celebrated’. Helping to set the scene she went through the hand-fasting ceremony with the happy couple.
Also on board were Jodie from Wedding event and Prophire and Gemma from Gateau Alchemy Cakes, they created this table-scape for the shoot using a gorgeous French Antique table filled with copper candles, flowers and cake! I’m always of the opinion that weddings should celebrate the couple and all that they love, so when you are planning your day. Don’t feel like you ‘should’ have certain things, have what you want!
