Have you ever admired a beautifully wrapped bouquet, posy or plant and wished you could do the same? If so, I’ve got some news I’m really excited to share with you…
Learning to wrap a bouquet was one of the first skills I mastered at the beginning of my floristry career. Working in an Interflora flower shop as a student, I had to pick this up quickly as I pretty much spent all my days making up bouquets for delivery.

My learning style is very visual — I prefer to work from pictures or be shown what to do. When I read complicated instructions, my brain just switches off! I now love teaching others step-by-step techniques and other skills in workshops and online. When I hold workshops, it’s wonderful to help students see that a bouquet created by attendees can be elevated by how it’s wrapped.
So… I’ve decided as well to branch out and create my first ever eBook to help more people learn these skills. From today, you can order Giving: different creative ways to wrap bouquets for any occasion.

The book covers a range of designs from how to wrap a garden posy through to wrapping a flat-black bouquet, (this is more a presentation style bouquet, in case you weren’t sure). I know that styles have changed drastically since I first started in floristry back in 1999, and I’ve tried to reflect that as my style has changed over the years to become more sustainable, especially with the mechanics and materials I now use.

I was very keen to make sure all the instructions in the book are a clear step-by-step guide to wrapping flowers and plant wrapping inspiration, that the pictures of me working help you understand and feel able to create these designs. I know that sometimes workshops can be prohibitive in cost so I hope that with this book you feel able even when you’re picking flowers from the garden like I love to do, that you can finish them off with a professional style wrap.

As well as wrapping, I also cover the use of eco-wraps. These are a sustainable way to create a water source for your flowers. When I first started in floristry, we used acres of cellophane to wrap everything and that just ends up in landfill. Using these ‘Chrysal’ wraps are a fab way to combat that use. They’re hard to source if you’re not a florist, so I’m now offering affordable EcoFlorist packages containing all the key materials for sustainable bouquet wrapping and eco-friendly flower designs. Plus, when you purchase the book, you get an exclusive 10% discount on these supplies for evermore!

Again, you can see from this snippet of the book below that the stages are very step by step with clear picture instructions.

I really hope that you find this eBook a useful tool in your floristry journey. I’m proud to have written it and would like to thank my husband Stu for all his support and Jutta Mackwell who is a fab editor. So, if your excited to transform ordinary bouquets into extraordinary gifts then this eBook will be your perfect companion. When you purchase, you receive a downloadable pdf for viewing on mobile devices and computers as well as access to an online version.
