I couldn’t resist sharing this beautiful June wedding, the Church ceremony was at St Michaels Church in the centre of Bath and the reception was held in the galleries of the Holburne Museum a couple of minutes away. (Photographs were taken by Mona Ali)
We dressed the pillars with mixed greenery to soften the venue, with lovely ivory hydrangea as pew-ends. You can just about see the two large arrangements we created for the front of the Church, these were filled with blue delphinium and ivory hydrangea and had dual use as we moved them over to the reception venue afterwards.
Clara carried a beautifully elegant bouquet of Amnesia roses, Purity roses, delphinium and trailing jasmine foliage. Deciding on the flowers took a while as Clara knew she wanted delphinium in there and Benedict knew he wanted amnesia roses in as he’d bought them for Clara when they were dating…. (good taste in flowers that man!)
The Bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Clara’s bouquet and I loved the contrast of colours against their midnight blue dresses.
The couple and their friends and family moved onto the Holburne Museum for the reception, it’s a fabulous place to dress for a reception. Drinks were served in the first floor gallery and dinner at the top of the museum and this was all organised by the wonderful Eat 5 Star team.
We put the table arrangements in low grey footed bowls, the couple wanted to flowers to create an impact but not obstruct conversation. We added in herbs and ivory scabious to these designs as well as those fabulous Purity roses.
