We decorated a fabulous venue called Court Farm at the weekend. It’s a 16th century farmhouse set in 10 acres of gorgeous English countryside.
The couple got married at St Julian’s Church in Wellow about 15 min from the farm. It was lovely to fill the milk churns we used with delphinium, stocks, hydrangea, fever-few and herbs as they made a great feature for the front of the Church.
I loved creating the Bridal bouquet, it was a mix of the palest pinks and ivories, I guess I describe it as buttermilk? It was filled with ivory sweet-peas, quick-sand roses, fresh lavender, the palest pink lizianthus and ivory spray roses with herbs from the Not So Secret Garden.
This Land Rover was great fun to decorate, I covered the front bumper with ivory wax-flower much to the amusement of the Brides soon to be new Brother-in-law {it was his land rover} who was then my very helpful assistant in putting the flowers on!
The men had rather dashing buttonholes, made up of lavender, oregano, wax-flower and a ivory spray-rose, they looked great on the pale grey morning suits the gentlemen were wearing!
Now I don’t know what’s not to like about this bar, set up in the barn area. This was the welcome area to bring guests into the marquee reception, with lovely antique chandeliers hanging from the ceiling of the barn, it all had a very relaxed feel to it.
The Bride had collected a huge amount of vintage style containers for the reception tables, some quite quirky and some cut glass. I filled them with a selection of the Bridal flowers. Nice to have different heights and textures of the flowers.
All in all it was quite a fabulous affair so do go and check out this Venue’s website if your thinking about tying the knot.
