Spring flowers

My blog today has a very simple premise and it is the idea of taking notice of the small things that bring you joy. I know the news at the moment feels huge and very terrifying and so I find that in each day I am bringing myself back to the small moments that just…

Craft project

I don’t know about you but when the weather is grey and miserable, it’s lovely to have a craft project on the go. I wanted to create a small enough wreath that I could pop in the post but that still had a colour and pretty ribbons! 🙂 Step one, you need to separate out…

We had a slightly mad week last week as we were invited to No 10 downing street as part of the Small business Saturday celebration. 150 front-line workers were invited to Downing street to enjoy a selection of stalls, delicious food and also an amazing choir from the Manchester survivors choir. All topped off by…

Last weekend I did a wedding open day at the lovely Moonraker Hotel and the day after brought back the centre-pieces I had made (You can see them here) I thought it would be a shame to throw them away so I’ve had a go at a simple Autumn table centre. For the open day…

I just wanted to share this easy Autumn craft idea, as the weather is turning and there is a chill in the air then thoughts turn to being inside and cosy. I’ve started making soups and roasting vegetables and definitely getting more blankets out for the sofa. My neighbour introduced me to this cute idea and I now have the perfect hanging place for them in my living room.

I got back from holiday and was wandering around our flower garden and thought I’d be interested to see what flowers I could pick to make an entirely seasonal bouquet for a bride. So often couples come in and have very specific ideas of looks and designs that they want for their big day and…
