I just wanted to share this easy Autumn craft idea, as the weather is turning and there is a chill in the air then thoughts turn to being inside and cosy. I’ve started making soups and roasting vegetables and definitely getting more blankets out for the sofa. My neighbour introduced me to this cute idea and I now have the perfect hanging place for them in my living room.

Your ingredients for this project are as follows:
- Dried bracken
- Two small circles of cardboard
- Hot glue gun
- String

Your first step is to cut the bracken pieces off the main stem. The pieces I cut were around 8/9cm long.
You then put your first circle of card down and put a small dab of glue in middle and get your string stuck to it. Then another dab of glue on top of string to then help place second circle of card on top. Let the string stick out the top as that is how you will hang your final design.

You can start sticking the pieces of bracken to the outside of the circle. Take your time to work round slowly being careful not to burn fingers as your work with hot glue. I found it helpful to have a small stick that I could help press pieces of bracken on once glue was on so I didn’t singe my hands.

Once you feel you have enough bracken pieces on the first side then flip it over and start on the other side. Its nice to grade pieces so as you work round on the second layer of bracken then cut them smaller or get different colours to set the piece off.
Once you have finished and are happy with the final shape and style then simply create a loop with the string and place in your finished place.
