Summer Flower Workshops

Summer seems to finally be here and we are in the middle of some fabulous floral workshops. We have already enjoyed two events to celebrate British flower week in the Not So Secret Garden and also at Newton St Loe. Attendee’s came and enjoyed learning how to make bouquets using flowers from the garden. I love seeing people arrive saying they will never be able to make a bouquet and they have no idea where to start, then leaving feeling really chuffed at what they have created.

The Not So Secret Garden early in the Summer

Our new green house is complete in the garden and I’m really excited as we have an opportunity for a small group to come learn how to make their own British flower heart (as seen below)

On 7th August we will be hosting a workshop at 1.30pm-3.30pm where you can come enjoy coffee and cake while learning how to create a fabulous design using all flowers we have grown – see our workshops page for more info.

Make your own heart

But before all that we are  branching out and visiting some stunning pubs that are around us. On the 19th July we will be at the delightful Pear Tree Inn at Whitely for a floral demonstration and yummy lunch. If you want to snap up a ticket then call 01225 704966 ~ I’ll be sharing lots of tips and tricks when it comes to flowers. Working through different designs to inspire you.

After British hand tie workshop

This was a hand-tie workshop that we held at Newton-st-Loe in June, these events are a lovely time to relax and have a go at something creative. The feedback has always been hugely positive and I love to share new ideas that I’ve found, through growing flowers in the Not So Secret Garden and working in Young Blooms

Our next event is at Timbrel’s Yard on the 4th August. It’s great to work with local venues, celebrating the great job that they do along side all the we can offer from the floral world.
