Autumn photo-shoot in the Secret Garden

We recently gathered in the Not So Secret Garden for a bridal photo-shoot to welcome the new very quirky glass-house that has been built and also celebrate the fabulous wedding vendors that we have in this area. James Green was the photographer for the day and what a marvellous job he did….

A stunning setting for our Photo-shoot

We started with a wedding cake created by my favourite cake maker Sandra Monger, her work is incredibly creative and I love seeing her creations every time we bump into her at weddings we have both worked on.

How magical is this…

I wanted the bouquet to be something over the top and fabulous, a celebration of Autumn colours and filled with texture. Brides are certainly getting braver and going for the extravagant style bouquets, I think with style you have to be brave and go for it!

I filled it with chrysanthemum from our garden, scabious, roses dried artichoke (I know!) lots of eucalyptus and also lovely dyed gravillea…

Our stunning bride

Our gorgeous bride Alina wore a Catherine Deane dress (which was actually a top and skirt) provided by the ever wonderful girls from Flossy and Willow.

My most favourite part of creating the flowers was to design a hairpiece for the shoot, I felt hugely comfortable as Rebecca did the hair and make-up for the day. She and I have worked together numerous times and I am always slightly in awe as she manages to secure my slightly bonkers creations into Brides hair without a sweat!
